Answer nine quick questions about your budget, experience and travel style.
MEET AROUNDEUROPE
Travel planning for young adults who want the freedom of an independent trip—with enough structure to take the first step confidently.
ABOUT US
A first independent trip can feel like a maze of flights, neighbourhoods, trains, budgets and conflicting advice. AroundEurope brings those decisions together without turning the trip into a sterile package holiday.
Choose a ready-made guide, explore stories, join a future group departure or request a more personal plan when custom planning becomes available. You still make your own bookings and keep control of your trip.
Our first phase focuses on routes that make sense from Athens and Thessaloniki. Heraklion and Kalamata are planned for phase two, followed by departure airports in other countries.
The first collection spans ten city and multi-city trips—from Krakow and Budapest to Rome, Tallinn–Helsinki and Vilnius–Riga–Tallinn.
HOW IT WORKS
Answer nine quick questions about your budget, experience and travel style.
See destinations scored against your answers, with the strongest match explained.
Guides are planned at about €15 and designed to turn research into clear decisions.
Custom planning will offer a more tailored route, with practical instructions and links for making your own bookings.
Read honest travel stories and, when dates are announced, explore upcoming group trips.
QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
AroundEurope is a travel-planning platform for young adults who want to explore Europe with more confidence. We offer destination inspiration, a matching game, practical guides, travel stories and, when available, custom plans and group trips.
No. AroundEurope does not currently book flights, accommodation or activities for you. We provide information, planning help and links so you can make your own bookings with third-party providers.
The game asks about your budget, experience, interests, pace, season and travel style, then compares your answers with our destination profiles. Its result is a recommendation, not a guarantee.
Travel experience can affect how comfortable a destination feels. For newer travellers, the game gives extra preference to approachable trips such as Krakow, Budapest and Zagreb–Ljubljana.
Budgets are practical estimates rather than live quotes. Prices change with dates, availability, booking time, departure airport and personal choices, so always check current prices before booking.
Unless a guide says otherwise, the estimate is intended to help compare transport, accommodation, local travel, food and typical activities per person. The final guide will explain its assumptions.
No. It tells the game which destinations are most likely to suit that level. A real trip may cost more or less depending on your dates and choices.
Not in this first version. We may link to airlines or booking platforms, but you should verify prices, baggage rules, schedules and conditions directly with the provider.
The first phase focuses on Athens and Thessaloniki. Heraklion and Kalamata are planned for a later phase, followed by airports in other countries.
Yes. The inspiration and planning approach can still help, but early flight and budget assumptions are designed around departures from Athens and Thessaloniki.
No. It is designed especially for university students, recent graduates and people early in their careers, but anyone who likes this style of travel can use it.
No. We focus on value and fit. The right choice might be a low-cost city break or a larger multi-city trip, depending on your budget and priorities.
Destination matching is designed around traveller fit, not payment. If sponsored content ever appears, it will be clearly labelled.
Usually no, but the third-party provider controls the final price and terms. If a link may earn AroundEurope a commission, we will identify it clearly.
We consider direct access from the supported Greek airports, value, ease for newer travellers, variety of experiences and whether we can offer genuinely useful planning advice.
We aim to review guides and policies periodically, but transport, prices, opening hours and entry rules can change without notice. Always verify important details before travelling.
Use the contact details on this page and include the page, the information that appears incorrect and, if possible, a reliable source. We welcome corrections.
No travel service can remove every risk. Research current conditions, use official guidance, keep emergency details available and make choices that match your needs and experience.
We may point you toward official resources, but we do not provide legal or immigration advice. Check the relevant government and embassy sources for your citizenship and destination.
We strongly recommend considering appropriate travel insurance. Read the policy carefully to understand exclusions, medical cover, cancellations and activities.
Yes. Submission features are planned. Until then, you can share an idea through the contact channel once it is published.
Potential partners may contact us. Any commercial relationship must be disclosed and will not buy a better destination-game result.
TRUST
We want our recommendations to be useful, independent and easy to understand.
Destinations and guides are selected for traveller fit, not because a tourism board, hotel or booking platform paid for a favourable result.
We use official tourism, transport and venue sources where possible, combined with practical travel research and first-hand experience when available.
Prices are estimates and recommendations are opinions based on stated criteria. Important details should always be verified before booking.
Any paid placement, hosted stay, gifted experience or other material relationship will be disclosed clearly near the content.
We correct material errors when identified and aim to show when substantial content was last reviewed. Readers are encouraged to report inaccuracies.
TRANSPARENCY
Some future links may earn AroundEurope a commission without changing our commitment to honest recommendations.
If you follow a marked affiliate link and complete a booking or purchase, AroundEurope may receive a commission from the provider.
The provider—not AroundEurope—sets the final price, availability, cancellation rules, baggage allowances and booking terms.
Compensation does not guarantee coverage, a positive review or preference in the Destination Game.
Any advertisement or sponsored placement will be visually distinguished from independent editorial content.
FOR EVERYONE
AroundEurope aims to make travel planning usable by as many people as possible.
We work toward clear structure, keyboard access, readable contrast, meaningful link text, useful image descriptions and responsive layouts.
External booking and information websites have their own accessibility practices, which AroundEurope does not control.
If something is difficult to use, contact us with the page and the barrier you encountered. We will try to provide the information in another format.
